Word Processing - Intermediate

This is a course for those who have mastered the basic skills of word processing and wish to improve their proficiency. (The ability to create, edit, format, save and print basic business documents that contain text, basic tables, and simple graphics will be assumed).

Objectives

• To help learners develop their use of word processing to create and edit documents
• To be able to use both blank new documents and templates to create commonly used business documents
• To customise documents for specific purposes by the use of a variety of formatting techniques, such as the use of lists, tables and charts.
• To be able to format and manipulate text to enhance the presentation of the document

Learners will be guided through these tasks using appropriate practice exercises. Each learner would be provided with a training pack containing details of each task and giving visual reminders of the skills taught through screen shots. This is designed to give confidence to the learners by helping them review instructions and also serve as a future point of reference.
