PowerPoint – Introduction

This is a one day course for beginner users of PowerPoint who want to create an effective presentation. The course is for those who are able to use a keyboard and mouse, but have little or no prior knowledge of PowerPoint.

Objectives

• To be able to use the key features of PowerPoint to edit a presentation
• To be able to create a basic presentation incorporating text and graphics, adding animations and transitions
• To use design templates and style features
• To incorporate speaker notes
• To edit/move slides
• To run a slide show, print slides, handouts and speaker notes

Learners will be guided through the above aspects of PowerPoint using sample material and will be provided with a training pack. The pack will consisting of details of each task and giving visual reminders of the skills taught through screen shots. This is designed to give confidence to learners and help them review instructions and skills at their own pace. It will also provide a useful point of reference for future use.
